Parts needed; |
|
|
|
Stock 350 cross member |
|
|
Transmission cushion,
stock, #122353 |
|
|
2 x 7/16" x 14 x 2
1/2" bolts. |
|
|
2 x 7/16" x 14 Washer
nut (serrated) |
|
|
2 x 7/16 Flat Washer |
|
|
2 x 2" diameter,
bar stock w/ 7/16" hole metal stands. Alum or steel. Length to be
determined. |
|
|
2" round/ square
heavy 1/8" washer. |
|
|
|
|
Installation
procedure. |
|
|
| 1. |
Remove stock cross
member. |
|
|
| 2. |
Install
factory cross member using the front bolts on each side of the cross member,
into the rear bolt holes of the factory floor brackets. |
|
| 3. |
Carefully
measure straight up on the cross members rear bolts and mark the floor. |
|
| 4. |
Pull carpet back. |
|
|
| 5. |
Carefully drill
7/16" holes thru the floor |
|
| 6. |
Measure
the distance from the top of the cross member to the floor. |
|
| 7. |
Cut the drilled 2"
bar stock to this length. |
|
| 8. |
Insert
bolt down thru large thick washer, Spacer, cross member, install nut. |
|
| Note: |
For easier R & R tack
weld the bolt head to the heavy washer. |
|
|
|
|
|
For 700R4 / 4L60 (4bolt)
the following is additionally required. |
|
|
On the
right frame rail you will need to measure and remove the front half to
accommodate the transmission & pan. Check for clearance. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
