Replacement engine mounts for the 75 - 80 factory

Installation
procedure. |
|
| 1. |
Raise vehicle high enough
to access engine mounts |
|
|
| 2. |
Disconnect battery |
|
|
| 3. |
Measure from frame to
center of front crank pulley. |
|
|
| 4. |
Loosen bolts between
original mounts and frame brackets. 9/16" socket. |
|
|
Bolts may need penetrant
to loosen. |
|
|
| 5. |
Position jack to raise
engine slightly. |
|
|
| 6. |
Remove existing engine
mounts from block and vehicle. 9/16" socket |
|
| 7. |
Install new mounts to the
block |
|
|
| 8. |
Torque block mount bolts
to 37 LB/FT. |
|
| 9. |
Start engine mount to
frame bracket bolts. |
|
|
|
| 10. |
Loosen center bolt to
adjust if needed. |
|
|
| 11. |
Check engine
measurement taken in step 3 (Three). |
|
| 12. |
Tighten mount to frame
bracket bolts. |
|
|
|
| 13. |
Remove jack. |
|
|
| 14. |
Torque large thru bolt to
65 LB/FT |
|
| 15. |
Torque mount to frame
bracket to 37 LB/FT. |
|
|
| 16. |
Check for exhaust, wiring
and hose clearances. |
|
| 17. |
After driving check bolt
torque. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
