LUV LSx V8 Installation
Chevrolet 4.8L, 5.3, 6.0L, LSx engines w/ TH350, 700R4, 4L60, 4/5 speed transmission.
Parts needed;
Engine adapters. 10715 LSx adapters and 72-75 # 10215 or 76-80 # 10210
Use 2 x 122267 or 122142 engine cushions. 122268 transmission cushion.
Transmission adapter, TH350/4 speed  #10230, 700R4/4L60E #10235, 4L60E late #10232
19” x 22” Chevy style alum radiator. 2 pass radiator due to hose location
TH 350, 700R4, some 4L60 transmissions will need special crank adapter and flexplate.
Installation procedure.
 1.  Remove Hood. Mark and disconnect all wires, hoses, linkage, etc.
 2.  Drain fluid responsibly, remove radiator.
 3.  Remove existing engine and trans. Clean engine compartment.
 4.  Trim upper radiator panel. Fig. A
 5.  Trim radiator core support panel. Fig. B
 6.  Remove emergency brake nylon wheel from bracket on fire wall.
       Drill new hole back at the same angle, back 1” and to the right ½”. Fig. C
       Use the spacer from the wheel only with the cable installed.
       * You might use a roller bearing wheel from a sliding glass door.
 7.   A 1 1/4” indentation is needed in center of tunnel. Fig. D
 8.   Remove a 1 ½” notch from the bottom rear battery tray base. Fig. E
 9.   Remove water pump and lower pulleys.
10.  Install 10715 LSx adapters to engine, Torque.
11.  Install engine & transmission cushions. Engine use pn 10220/5 bolt kit.
      Use the 1/2" forward position on the adapters. Position B
      Trans bolt kit, TH350 / 4 speed use pn 10240, 700R4, 4L60 use pn 10245.
12.  Install engine & transmission as a unit. Guide over torsion bar cross member.
13.  Install engine adapters marked right and left. Use pn 10220/5 bolt kit.
14.  Install transmission adapter, use pn 10240, TH350 / 4 speed or pn 10245, 700R4
       Use transmission spacer #10718 to improve drive line angle.
15.  Use 76 & up heater hoses, control valve & cable
16.  Engine mounts are slotted for slight fore and aft movement
