12 5/16” head, header bolts. |
|
1 Reducer kit with
bolts & nuts. |
|
2 large ACE decals |
|
|
|
|
Raise vehicle a
minimum of 24” |
|
|
|
|
Clean head surface of all
gasket material. |
|
|
Coat header gaskets. (Pam
or High Heat Silicone recommended) |
|
|
|
|
|
Remove oil filter,
sparkplugs starter and converter cover. |
|
|
Left side |
|
|
Remove # 1 cylinder tube
from header. |
|
|
Guide rear section up
into place. |
|
|
Insert gasket, start
header bolts. |
|
|
Install front tube and
start bolts. |
|
|
Tighten bolts from the
center out. |
|
|
Check header to engine
adapter clearance. Modify if needed. |
|
|
Install spark plugs and
oil filter. |
|
|
Right side |
|
|
Disconnect E brake cables
and E brake lever. |
|
|
Remove E brake lever. |
|
|
Remove # 1 cylinder tube
from header. |
|
|
Guide rear section up
into place. |
|
|
Insert gasket, start
header bolts. |
|
|
Install front tube and
start bolts. |
|
|
Install converter cover
and starter. |
|
|
Tighten header bolts from
the center out. |
|
|
Install E brake lever and
connect cables. You may need to bend |
|
|
top and bottom of lever
out slightly for cable clearance. |
|
|
Install spark plugs.
Check routing of secondary wires. |
|
|
|
|
|
After reaching operating
temperature check header bolts. |
|
|
|
|
|
Headers are coated with
Rustoleum high heat barbeque paint. |
|
|
|
